Did you know that it costs thousands of dollars to put fire hose on fire engines? Providing the tools, training and equipment to save lives and protect property is an expensive task. We want to meet the challenge of providing the highest quality fire service, apparatus, and equipment to answer calls for help in our community. Your donations in the past years have allowed us to purchase thermal imaging cameras, air meters, helmets, gloves, fire engines, and soon to come, new fire station. The Piney Green Volunteer Fire Department appreciates any donations to help us meet the department goals and any unforeseen issues. Donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) organization. Money donated is used to purchase equipment or support our firefighters.
We work with local business to conduct fundraising events in order to assist us with unique ways to raise the money needed to assist you. We have been working with business such as Panda Express, were we conduct a fundraiser every month on the 11th. You can go and enjoy some great food and if you mention us, the business will donate a portion of the proceeds to our origination.
We are a volunteer organization with nearly forty active firefighting members that volunteer hundreds of hours each year. There are real opportunities for any teenager or adult to volunteer in a capacity where they are comfortable. Most of our volunteers are emergency response personnel, but many also volunteer in administrative, mechanical, and organizational capacities.
